Yoksulluk; gelir, sağlık, beslenme, eğitim ve boş zaman vb. bileşenlerin eksikliğinden kaynaklanan çok boyutlu bir olgudur. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın ilk amacı yoksulluğu çok boyutlu ve toplumsal cinsiyete duyarlı bir yaklaşımla analiz etmektir. Bu amaçla bu çalışmada Alkire-Foster metodu ve 2022 yılı verileri kullanılarak Türkiye için bireyler düzeyinde analizler yapılmış ve çok boyutlu yoksulluk oranı %24,3 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu oran kadınlarda %27,2 ve erkeklerde %21,1’dir. Bu sonuca bağlı olarak çalışmanın ikinci amacı olarak kadın kooperatiflerinin kadın yoksulluğu ile mücadelede etkili bir araç olup olmayacağı tartışılmıştır. Türkiye için cinsiyetler arası yoksulluk farkını çok boyutlu olarak hesaplayan sınırlı sayıda çalışmanın var olması nedeniyle bu çalışmanın literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca çalışma kadın yoksulluğunun azaltılmasında kadın kooperatiflerinin etkili bir araç olacağı konusunda literatürdeki tartışmaların da genişlemesine katkı sağlayacaktır.

Women’s Poverty and Social Solidarity Cooperatives
Abstract
Poverty is a multidimensional phenomenon resulting from the lack of components such as income, health, nutrition, education, and leisure time, among others. In this context, the primary objective of this study is to analyze poverty through a multidimensional and gender-sensitive approach. For this purpose, individual-level analyses were conducted for Türkiye using the Alkire-Foster method and 2022 data, and the multidimensional poverty rate was calculated as 24.3%. The rate is 27.2% for women and 21.1% for men. Based on this result, the secondary objective of this study is to discuss whether women’s cooperatives could be an effective tool against women’s poverty. Given the limited number of studies calculating the gender gap in multidimensional poverty for Türkiye, this study is expected to contribute to the literature. Furthermore, this study will also contribute to expanding the discussions in the literature regarding the effectiveness of women’s cooperatives in reducing women’s poverty.
